GAIN20 Science Slam

Present your research at GAIN20

Welcome on stage: the GAIN Science Slam is all about science communication. Five international researchers from various fields will present their findings in a five-minute pitch in front of the virtual GAIN20 audience. The objective is to impart current research results to a diverse audience in an understandable and entertaining way. Various presentations suitable for the virtual format are allowed. The virtual GAIN audience is also the Science Slam Jury.

Science Slams started in German university towns in the mid-2000s: Darmstadt, Braunschweig, Hamburg. Today, Science Slams are held all over Germany on a weekly basis. For GAIN20, it makes perfect sense to merge American storytelling, elevator pitches, and German science communication on the virtual GAIN20 stage.
