Fostering Innovation | Connecting German Research with American Capital

Join us and Friends of Freiburg University on Friday, March 28th for a Roundtable Discussion on Fostering Innovation and Connecting German Research with American Capital.

Germany is a powerhouse in innovation and research. The United States is world renowned for its financial creativity and risk taking. However, the two countries have fundamentally different philosophies. Germany tends to have a conservative and incremental risk-taking approach, whereas the U.S. has a greater tendency to reward disruptive ideas. How do we combine the complementary strengths of the two countries to have synergistic effects and deepen the transatlantic ties in the process?

Join prominent German industrialist Dr. Jürgen Großmann and distinguished German cardiovascular surgeon/ researcher and medical device start-up founder Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Friedhelm Beyersdorf for a dynamic dialogue and discussion, with focus on the elements needed to create an ecosystem that allows German innovation to be brought to the U.S. capital markets.
