At the GAIN Conference 2026, early-career researchers, representatives from German universities, research institutions, funding organizations, and policymakers will gather in Boston to network, exchange ideas, and explore career opportunities.
GAIN26 offers a dynamic program with panel discussions, workshops, science pitches, and extensive networking sessions. The conference promotes transatlantic exchange and highlights pathways for researchers to pursue careers in Germany.

The GAIN Conference is organized by the German Academic International Network (GAIN) and supported by DAAD, DFG, AvH, and BMFTR.
The German Academic International Network (GAIN) is the network of scientists and researchers of all disciplines from Germany, working at leading research institutions worldwide with special focus on the United States and Canada. It is a joint initiative of three major research funding organizations in Germany, the DAAD, AvH and DFG. GAIN helps its members maintain and build their international networks and facilitates transatlantic mobility and cooperation. We inform about career and funding opportunities and recent developments in science policy in Germany.
