German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

The German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, DAAD) is the organization of German universities and their student bodies devoted to internationalizing the academic and scientific research system. DAAD scholarship programs enable students, researchers and teaching staff to take advantage of the best study and research opportunities available.

 

 

About Us:

DAAD promotes transnational cooperation and university partnerships and is the German national agency for EU higher education cooperation. Consequently, DAAD supports Germany’s foreign cultural and educational policy goals, national scientific policies and development cooperation efforts and fosters the internationalization of German higher education institutions.

DAAD operates a network of 71 regional offices and information centres worldwide.  The New York regional office  is housed in the German Consulate General New York, where the DWIH New York is also located.
